Better be quick stepping for the Reebok Classics X Sandro Collaboration

Screen Shot 2015-02-09 at 12.01.59The luxury Parisian brand, Sandro, known for its clean lines and sophisticated aesthetic, was established by Evelyne Chetrite, founder and creative director since 1984, who developed a new women’s aesthetics: modern and sophisticated with a hint of androgyny. Evelyne’s son, Ilan, launched Sandro Homme in 2008 focusing on revisited classics with a modern twist. With this in mind for Spring 2015 the French label has teamed up with a Sporting legend Reebok Classic.

The collection centres on Reebok Classic’s iconic InstaPump Fury, fusing the distinct but complementary design attitudes of the brands to create two limited edition styles for both men and women. The collection’s simple iconic aesthetic, features strong lines and first-class design details.

Screen Shot 2015-02-09 at 12.02.17Debuted in 1994, the InstaPump Fury quickly made a name for itself as one of the most directional looking and technologically advanced sneakers in the industry. The silhouette has since garnered cult status and is a firm favorite with fashion and trend hunters.

The Reebok Classic x Sandro collection draws inspiration and design references from two influential decades- the ‘70s and the ‘90s- adding up-to-date details through the use of technical materials. The men’s collection draws inspiration from the 90’s, capturing the retro futurism and technical achievement that revolutionised the sneaker world with InstaPump Fury’s introduction. Each shoe has a sportswear foundation and structured silhouette, which is refined though simplicity of design and the use of premium materials to produce a daring yet elegant design.

Ultra stylish Fashion Bible 10 Magazine and equally iconic Fashion Photographer Nick Knight have come together to produce 12 different heavenly covers using the Victoria’s Secret Angels as the Cover stars. We have Supermodels the like of Lily Aldridge, Jourdan Dunn, Lily Donaldson, Barbara Fialho and Candice Swanepoel to name but a few of these angelic creatures.

This project came about via founder and Editor in Chief of 10, Sophia Neophitou, who just so happens to work closely with Victoria’s Secret dreaming up these 12 scenarios with the brilliantly visionary Photographer Nick Knight OBE who has worked with the likes of Alexander McQueen, Bjork, Kate Moss, Lady G aga, Naomi Campbell etc, etc, for the “Sensuality” issue (Out February 5th).

Dressed to Kill – Spy Style

We seem to have our first trend for 2015 already in ‘Spy Style’, this year we’ll see the release of such movies as, the questionable, Johnny Depp vehicle Mortdecai, later on, what looks from the cast and titbits we’ve seen AMAZING, James Bond’s Spectre. But, first up is the dashing, daring and what looks like a bloody good romp, Matthew Vaughn’s, Kingsman(see trailer above).

So what do all of these films have in common ? The suave, sophistication and general Dapper elegance of Her Majesty’s Secret Service. The British Spy network has been the source of countless iconic films over the decades, not just the undeniably stylish Bond Series, but Michael Caine’s, Harry Palmer, John Le Carrè’s Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy, the wonderful The 39 Steps and of course who could forget Richard Burton as Alec Leamas in The Spy who came in from the Cold. Literally just a few examples, where the shadowy world of intelligence and counter intelligence have served as entertainment to whet our appetite.
