Men’s Trends Round up for this Autumn

We may all hate to admit it, but summer is coming to a close. The nights are slowly drawing in and soon, the leaves will have started to fall. On the upside, autumn is a great time of the year in terms of men’s fashion. It’s a time you don’t have to bare all, but don’t have to cover up a good outfit with a huge coat. Here’s some of the key looks that will be everywhere this Autumn…

This is something you may have noticed has been popping up a lot over the summer, and the winter it’s going to get even bigger. Gone are the days of testing just how tight you can get your leg wear before something gets crushed or falls off. People are moving closer to straighter legs, which come in a great range of fittings. Try utilising turn ups for a customised finish.

The original mod coat, there hasn’t really been a time when the parka hasn’t been in style since it’s rise to fashion heights in the 1980’s. This year, brands like Canadian Goose have shot to fame with celebrities lapping them up. The more economy priced versions on the high street from brands like Good for Nothing Clothing, more typically known for their mens tracksuits, are looking to blow up this Autumn. It’s a stable piece that not only makes sure you look on point, but also genuinely keeps you warm.

Back to Basics
You may be pleased to know that this season less is definitely going to be more. People seem to have grown bored of the fast fashion that is continuously changing and moving from trend to trend, bringing some classic and super simplistic pieces. Think lots of neutral colours – try and stick to beige, greys and black.

Buon Compleanno Acqua di Parma

To mark, and in celebration of its Centenary year, Acqua di Parma have launched three new Colonia Fragrances. These haute fragrances have each been inspired by arias from two of Italian opera’s most prestigious composers, Verdi and Puccini. In a nod to Acqua di Parma’s milestone anniversary, each fragrance is packaged in a reinterpretation of Colonia’s first bottle.

Note di Colonia I – this vibrant composition emits an atmosphere that is both joyful and full of vivacity inspired by and in keeping with Verdi’s La Traviata and its’ much loved ‘Libiamo ne’ lieti calici’.

It offers an explosion of bergamot, in its sparkling and most prized Italian quality, as well as the bright notes of neroli. The citrus start, classically cologne, sweetens and embracing as
the heart of the fragrance. Here, the composition fuses the freshness of lavender with the velvety warmth of Damascus rose and violet. In the rich and sumptuous finale there is a
refined combination of patchouli and cedarwood.

Note di Colonia II – is inspired by everyone’s favourite aria, ‘Nessun Dorma’ from Puccini’s famous Romance Turandot.

With this we have the radiant notes of bergamot, orange and grapefruit with magnificent citrus vitality. Then enters the vibrant notes of basil and cardamom. This is completed by the soft and engaging tones of sandalwood and Gaian united with the undertones of musk and vetiver.

Lastly, Note di Colonia III – from Verdi’s ‘Marcia Trionfale’ from Aida

This scent manages the notes of mandarin and ginger straight away before the notes are enriched by vetiver and jasmine. In its final part, the fragrance offers the refined notes of tonka bean which meet the intense and full-bodied notes of ciste labdanum and myrrh.

All three fragrances are exclusively available at Harrods and for key collectors and genuine fans of the luxury brand. Acqua di Parma have collaborated with Italian Jeweller, Damiani. On a special Centenary Edition which is limited to 100 pieces.

With the sudden blast of summer heat this past week, we think it’s not too late to whip out a couple of summer outfits before the autumn season well and truly begins. And one brand that has you covered for such an event is Baracuta, with their cool and casual summer blazers.

Baracuta’s Tenby Summer Blazer is the ideal lightweight jacket for an evening stroll whilst on a tropical holiday or simply to one’s local beer garden. Ally Capellino x Norwegian Rain – Premium Stylish Backpacks

London based international design label Ally Capellino have collaborated with Bergen’s Norwegian Rain to produce a new backpack for Autumn 16.

Using Norwegian Rain’s signature high-tech PET recycled fabric from Japan, and with sealed seams and waterproof zips, Ally Capellino have arrived at a design that compliments the ethos of both brands; waterproof, lightweight, Mac compatible and with Italian bridle leather straps and trims, this collaboration is a suitably cool classic.

Retailing at £295 / €400 they will be available from August at a selection of international stockists as well as Ally Capellino’s three London shops and website and Norwegian Rains’s Bergen and Oslo shop and website.
