The HAWAIIAN SHIRT ! think Elvis, think  Magnum P.I.think Ace Ventura. Check out SIX of the best below.

Hide behind those Shades – A Round up of the best Sunglasses around

A couple of weeks ago, I was lucky enough to take a trip to Sin City, Lost Wages, Atomic City, yeah you got it Las Vegas !!! Now, whilst over there blowing off some well earned steam and drinking my own weight in over priced alcohol, I took the liberty of killing two birds with the one stone and took along a selection of the finest sunglasses around for this Summer, when it finally arrives. We choose a number of Viva LasVegas’s finest, from in and around the Splendour and luxury of the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Resort, to model these shades to give you a better idea of how they look on a cross section of face shapes, colouring and essentially looks. Take a look and let us know what you think –

Be hidden in the Urban Jungle – Camouflage Trend

Good day my dear and trusted style gazers, as the weather is being as predictable as my child’s nightly sleep patterns I thought I would look at a trend which can be worn rain of shine, in the words of 80’s family groovers 5Star. Camo or Camouflage as you may know it has been floating around as a menswear trend for quite a few seasons now. Hopefully, you will have been a style consumer of great foresight and have invested in a piece or two of the camo variety over the past couple of seasons. As you see from  below for Spring 2013 literally everyone has interpreted and tailored camouflage to their own likings, offering us, it in every conservable item of clothing, colour combination and from traditional Action Man-esque patterns to 21st Century state of the art stealth techno camo to even neon, floral, in your face ones.

I’ve sourced the great information Superhighway from start to finish looking for some of the better examples of this trend. Now please heed this warning, akin to not feeding the Mogwai after midnight, do not, I repeat do not wear to much of this trend at the same time or you’ll run the risk of looking like a reserve from the T.A. on civilian maneuverers, once again the maxim of less is more applies.

In a class of its own – TOPMAN LUX

TOPMAN_LUX47541_F5_RGBWay back in November of last year, I viewed this collect at the TOPMAN Spring/Summer 2013 preview and I homed in on it like a style seeking missile, BOOM ! It stood out like a lighthouse saying come and look at me, I’m great and so true it was, once again,  TOPMAN have gone and done it. If you read my review of LC:M in January you’ll know I was delightfully surprised at how luxurious next season’s collection was. But almost as a precursor, the brand have launched a stand alone collection for this season  under the name TOPMAN LUX. Lux is all about creating that super luxurious, elegant evening look with an edge through the use of modern shapes, high end fabrics, and a sophisticated feel and finish.

The overall silhouette of the collection is long and elegant in proportion while trims and fine details are luxurious in treatment and feature throughout the collection. Beautiful super 120’s Mohair wools and brilliant blue cobalt colours feature heavily in suiting. Knitwear is seen in navy, and Lux in it’s use of fine lightweight yarn and finishing. This comes in the form of a crew neck jumper and high sheen bold coloured crew neck knitted t-shirts.

Key pieces in the collection include a must have full length stone mac, a black leather bomber and a black leather biker jacket make for a timeless jacket collection and the range is completed with basket weave high top trainers, a basket weave document holder and a backpack in sumptuous black, mmmmmm nice.

Preview of the Best of the High Street for SS13

Vile, there’s no other word to describe the weather at the moment and because Summer, and hopefully nice warm weather, seems such a long way away at the moment. I thought I would cheer us all up by taking a look at the best of what the big High Street names have in store for us over the coming months, when we don’t have to wrap up in layer after layer.

Proving that they are more then a one season wonder, boohoo.com the new kid on the block is proving that they can play, nicely, I hope, with the big boys.

Burton

I always feel Burton struggle a little with catering for their customer in the Spring season but they haven’t done too bad at all with this collection.

Camouflage is a massive trend for SS13. Before, you say anything, I'm not even contemplating advising going for a drink in head to toe camp. Well unless it's for a TA meeting. But believe it or not this highly directional look is from no other then Debenhams.

I have to say, H&M for SS13 have really got their stuff together. They are offering us guys a greg selection from casual to more formal and as always at their unbelievable prices.

I can't believe these images have come from no other then, get ready for it, JOHN LEWIS !!!! They've blown me away for SS13, it was a tough call to choose just one image from their selection for this season. Well done guys, please keep it up

I know this is kinda stating the the obvious but M&S are amazing at suiting and SS13 certainly isn't an exception. Their casual wear for this season isn't bad either, but if your looking for a suit over the coming months, you'd do a lot worse then starting here.

See what I mean about Camo, its everywhere, but thought New Look had captured the trend in a very wearable way. This brand both seem to be started to get their menswear and its improving season on season. So keep it up New Look you can't afford to rest on those laurels.

Holy froly, Reiss are bloody good at what they do. What they do is produce GREAT trend driven clothes that are easy to put together and wear. My only criticism, maybe do them is slightly larger sizes, thats all.
