Focused and Functional – Nike Launches New Tech Pack Collection

For the Fall 2018 season, Nike is releasing its latest futuristic Tech Pack collection. With new styles and materials, the pieces use innovative knit and woven fabrics that are engineered to provide a full range of motion. This new collection allows for more expressive connections to the sport; through breathability, stretch and texture.

Nike Sportswear’s latest Tech Pack collection spins body-informed and environmental data into focused and functional forms. The collection uses knit and woven materials as well as base, mid- and outer layers engineered to provide athletes with a full range of motion. “The product is engineered to the body through innovative and expressive materials that allow for stretch and breathability,” says Senior Design Director Ricky Hendry. “We wanted to redefine Tech Pack as more of a head-to-toe collection, introducing new styles and materials, allowing for a new and more expressive connection to sport,” says Hendry.

The Emperor’s New Trainers – NikeLab Dunk Hi X Comme Des Garçons “Invisible Shoes”

by Keanu Adorable

NikeLab has partnered with the Japanese designer brand COMME des GARÇONS to recreate a classic Nike silhouette and following its showcase at the COMME des GARÇONS Homme Plus show last October, the “invisible” Nike Lab Dunk Hi is finally being released.

Dubbed the ‘invisible shoes’, the Dunk Hi appears to draw inspiration from Hans Christian Andersen’s cult classic tale about a sorely misled emperor in search of a new wardrobe. The new release aims to address the common misconception that invisibility and transparency are one in the same.

An edgy mix of black leather and clear PVC paired with accents of comfort foam, the shoes are designed with holes for ventilation to ensure maximum breathability. While not completely “invisible,” the side panels and toebox of this NikeLab Dunk Hi allow for some serious look at what’s inside, so be careful when choosing your socks in the morning. What’s great about this feature is, this transparent look allows for those crazy patterned pairs in your drawer to shine through.

The collaboration with COMME des GARÇONS is the second basketball collaboration from Nike this month, released exclusively at the COMME des GARÇONS store in New York.

A beach is Holiday) 2014 Nike SneakerBoot Collection provides the tools to combat the changing conditions. The collection introduces new styles and transforms iconic masterpieces of running, basketball and training design into weatherised powerhouses ! This season the Nike SneakerBoots collection emphasizes three benefits – warmth, visibility, and dryness – for unprecedented defense in unpredictable elements. We are talking, Marty McFly has nothing on these bad boys !

HO14_NSW_Lunar_Dome_M_3QF_33312[14]Basketball and running favorites from the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s are bolstered and re-imagined, with features ranging from rugged interpretations of original outsoles to internal linings that make them as comfortable as their classic counterparts. For this season, time-honored styles and a few new introductions leave the fields, tracks and gyms for which they were originally designed and join the battle against wintry weather.

HO14_NSW_LunarForce1_3QF_M_33314[14]One such interpretation is the iconic Nike Air Max of 1990, built around the idea that “more is more,” ups the ante. This arbiter of air is re-mastered into a highly visible, high-traction, cold weather weapon of choice.

Another is, the Nike Air Trainer SC was designed to endure punishment put forth by the strongest, most powerful athletes of its time. Inspired by the original versionʼs multi- sport functionality, the Air Trainer SC SneakerBoot’s water-repellant leather upper, sticky rubber outsole and reflective Swoosh logo make winter terrain look like another day in paradise.
