But now, Paul Smith has launched its new watch collection. Designed in-house the timepieces seamlessly mirror everything that customers come to expect from the brand – quality, precision, design, humour and mischief mixed with a love of tradition and the classics.

The collection is a true representation of the Paul Smith brand – a leading and uniquely British brand that mixes the one-off pieces with high quality tailoring, with the ability to anticipate and even spark off trends in the wider context of popular culture.

The collections are inspired by the company’s founder and his love of design and global travel. Smith plays a significant role and subtle echoes of his presence can be found throughout the collection in the colour detailing which appears on sub- dials.

With an initial 38-piece collection which is split into six sub- collections: Precision, Block, Atomic, MA, Gauge and Tempo.

Terry Markham is honest enough to admit that he didn’t know the difference between a quartz movement and a self-winding movement of a watch when he started out in his career as a sales associate with SDK Jewellers in Reading in 2006. But, by God he soon learned, and specialised in watches within the sales team. In less than a year of his joining the company, the owner’s son, Kishore, launched a website (then known as watchshopuk), and Terry began picking and packing watches in addition to handling the shop requirements for watches.

Following the success of this timepiece, Mondaine ‘smartened up’ five more of its heralded Helvetica models, including one special Subscription-only version, which is limited to 1957 pieces, in reference to the year Helvetica was born. Mondaine has remained true to itself by focusing on the simple unity of eminent timeless Swiss design. All the new Helvetica models have a 44mm case diameter, anti-reflective coated sapphire crystal and a matt brushed stainless steel case, and come in Black, Gold and White versions.

Tudor Watches, a stable mate company of Rolex, left the UK market, some twelve years ago. Well they’re back. The brainchild of renowned watchmaker, Hans Wilsdorf. He first founded, Rolex,  then TUDOR, often referred to as the little sibling of Rolex.
