The history of the house of Versace plays out like, some might say a storyline from Dynasty, the 80’s Soap Opera. Personally, I prefer to compare it to one of the great Operas, it has a Family, power, beauty, glamour, incredible clothes, heartbreak, death and romance. So therefore, if this house was to launch a fragrance it would surely look to something equally biblical for its moniker. And guess what, like a gift from the Gods that’s just what the House of Versace have gone and done. EROS, the Greek God of love or specifically the kind of love involved in sexual desire, is the name sake for this new fragrance.
How does this scent manage to cast its spell ? A Luminous aura with an intense, vibrant and glowing freshness obtained from the combination of mint leaves, Italian lemon zest and green apples. An addictive sensuality delivered by oriental intriguing notes like tonka beans, amber, geranium flower and of course Vanilla. Then to add a touch of racy virility cedar wood, vetiver and oak moss provide intensity. Essentially, this is best summed by the Perfumer, of the new fragrance Aurélien Giuchard;
“Versace Eros translates the primal desire between Men and Women, the idea of a Triumphant seduction.”
